Blood Freezer Controls and Alarm Options
The solid state microprocessor controller includes temperature set point and alarm functions, plus large, easy to see digital display of actual chamber temperature. Also included is an integrated voltage boost system with indicator light to compensate for low source power.

- On our blood freezer units the alarm system is operated by a rechargeable battery that will emit an audible and visual signal during an electrical or mechanical problem. This includes under over settings, alarm silence switch, battery test switch and relay for remote alarm connection to your blood freezer unit.
- Blood freezer cabinet constructed with cold rolled 16 gauge steel and then welded to the base machine compartment. Exterior finish is cool gray with a rust retardant primer coat. The machine compartment is sound insulated. Our blood freezers are mounted on heavy duty swivel casters.
- Our blood freezer unit’s interior chambers are constructed with 14 gauge corrosion resistant zinc coated galvanized steel allowing for an improved thermal conductivity over stainless steel. The chamber walls have copper refrigerant tubes soldered and covered in an aluminum compound to enhance thermal efficiency for added peace of mind when protecting your valuable medical specimens.
- The blood freezers chamber walls are hermetically sealed and insulated with 5" of high-density form-in-place CFC free urethane insulation. Two heavy-duty hermetic motor compressors are also included, which are air-cooled with 3 industrial grade fans. Compressors include thermal overload protection and circuitry for sequential start up to eliminate unnecessary overloading of the power source.
- With the blood freezer unit the condenser is an air-cooled unit with enhanced airflow for cooling. The grille is hinged for easy access and cleaning. Cascade Refrigeration system for quick pull-down. System cycles on demand and maintains low pressures for long life. System utilizes oil separation system which eliminates shut downs for oil logging and enhances efficiency by reducing heat build-up in you blood freezer unit.
